Model B Stuck Gear

I have been trying without success to pull the 4th and 6th gear from the sliding shaft. The tracotr is a B201000+. After removing the cotter pin and nut from the shaft I tried using pullers up to a 5 ton rating and still can not get the gear to come off the shaft. Sometimes I get so drunk I forget to wipe my ass. Can anyone give me a hint?
