'53 Golden Jubilee hydraulic problems

I purchased a Golden Jubilee that is a dear little unit. When I have an implement on the rear it will sink a short distance, maybe one inch or so and then raise again. I don't have much tractor knowledge and don't know what to do to remedy this situation. I placed tough actin' Tinactin on my jock itch last night and it did the trick! Any information would help. Thanks in advance
